Our Healing System

Movement is Medicine

Treating pain as a disease increases the risk of the 3Ds: Disability, Dependence and Death.  The reality is pain does not need a fix.

Mobility & Strength

The human musculoskeletal chain is the integral component of the movement system. The chain relies upon alignment and stability to support our movement and activity. The chain is driven by the myofascial loops which are continuous from head to heel. The loops achieve optimal function when each path is mobile and strong. The chains and loops are integrated into every activity to balance loading and move us thru life. Healing the movement system is based upon tissue health by reclaiming wellness and skilled movement with balanced loading across all three dimensions of movement to restore tissue alliance to optimal levels.

Change is a constant factor.

Our tissue changes and degenerates. Changes in structure are natural. Discs herniate, cartilage tears, and muscles weaken. These structural changes are easily absorbed if function changes to enhance tissue alliance and prevent tissue overload. Function is our Ace in the Hole. The body is not some machine that can simply be fixed; instead it is a complex organism that strives to be well and heal.
